Beautiful and queenly, it is really a treasure of the Jewish heritage in Romania. Seems to have a very special architecture and a special design, more than impressive. Unfortunately, it was closed, I did not visit it and this was a big regret - I was very disappointed because I have a warm connection with the Jewish culture and because I have seen pictures from the interior - this temple is a masterpiece!!! Of course, I promise a later edit...

Wonderful synagogue today being used as a museum about the history and culture of Romanian Jews. Wonderfully restored and greatly equipped! Be sure to visit when in Bucharest. The caretaker woman speaks excellent English and is super helpful!
A wonderful museum created through the very hard work of a small team of dedicated specialists, THE ONE AND ONLY JEWISH MUSEUM IN BUCHAREST showcasing amazing artifacts pertaining to the life of this beautiful community. DO NOT MISS
Small but very interesting exhibition on Romanian Jewish life and art and the contributions of the Jewish population to Bucharest history and culture. Very well executed and worth a visit.
How do you rate a Temple - the Museum was closed but the building had an interesting neighbourhood.
Former synagogue reopened as Museum of Jewish History & Culture in Romania in June 2019. Open Mon-Thurs 10-14, Fri 10-13. 2nd floor has paintings of Jewish life/ painters. Entrance on Mamulari 3 (fixed).
