You can see, hear, feel and taste the true Romania in here. We got there quite late after long day of traveling and landing in Otopeni actually quite tired and hungry. The car rent guy recommended us this place (thanks man!) and that really was a good choice. Waiter was the most patient one I have ever seen. Helpful but not too pushy. Polite but always available. And food was just great! The chef is a real pro. Also the traditional Romanian style, paintings, decorations were quite interesting though it is not precisely what I feel comfortable at. If they'd focus a bit more about the temperature and stuffiness inside, that would be just a perfect place.

This restaurant give me a very pleasant and unexpected surprise. The service was very nice , the food was correct and the atmosphere quite nice having live music at noon (!!!). The menu is quite big but we have decided to have an excellent fish soup and Moldavian style pie which I recommend. The taste is excellent and the service as well.
Upscale restaurant and food to match. One of our top 3 restaurants in 1 month traveling Romania. Great way to end the trip and close to the airport. Had Dorado fish, vegetables, cabbage, and lamb chops. Topped with a sampling of Romanian desserts and cherry liqueur. Highly recommend. We came in t-shirts and jeans, as did other customers for a very late lunch. Don't worry about what you are wearing. No problem.
I think this is my favourite place in Romania so far. We went there at a friend's recommendation to taste the \papanași\. The first thing we've noticed was that they were also having a wedding reception and the restaurant not only was open but also quite isolated. Though we were the only 2 people in the restaurant, we enjoyed live piano covers our entire stay which were lovely. Then there was the menu which had a lot to choose from, especially when it came to Moldavian traditional dishes. A cheerful waiter came and recommended some of their best and also brought an appetizer. We served delicious Ucrainian soup and some of the traditional pie and desserts. All in one it was the best experience we could have and I can totally recommend this place for a full experience. ️

We had our wedding here on 1st of June 2019 and everything was perfect. Our guests enjoyed the great service and the very tasty food. Irina, the event planner, is a wonderful and very helpful person. We will consider this location for our next party events. Here's a photo from our dance and one picturing the groom and our godfather chillin' at the end of the party. Enjoy!:)
One of the best Romanian traditional restaurant in Bucharest area, Vatra Neamului is actually started in Chisinau, Republica Moldova. Serving romaninan dishes together with a selection of Russian and Ukrainian soups in a beautiful house decorated with pictures of romanian & moldavian famous rulers (domnitor, voievod etc), Vatra Neamului is, first of all, a good place to eat wonderful and tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere. Professional waiters serves with hospitality and have the right quantity of caring to not be too pushy. The interior is decorated in country style, however there are no garlic strings, chili and chariots wooden wheels. The music is at the right volume. A nice place to eat good food, I highly recommend Vatra Neamului. It deserves to drive 20 km from the crowded Bucharest.
