Great place for horseback riding. Friendly staff and great fun for families with children. Cozy place, 14 rooms for accommodation, great for fun, child friendly and you can take horse riding lessons too. Great traditional food also.

Potcoava is a really well thought out B&B with equestrian facilities, a traditional restaurant, a sauna, jacuzzi and a salt room. The rooms are clean and big, decorated following an equestrian theme, the food they serve is very tasty and not pretentious and the staff is generally very friendly. We had a great time here, buying their package that included 2h/day/adult of horseback riding. Robert has been a fantastic teacher and we have loved every minute of the 1h rides we took on the neighbouring hills. Overall a great location, a superb view, beautiful horses that we have absolutely adored and peace and quiet (when tourists understand that common rooms are for the enjoyment of everyone and are more considerate).

the best place I have ever been in Romania!!! It may very well be the best B&B in the country, with an absolutely incredible view straight from your bed, the best food you will ever eat (local or own, all natural products). Exemplary staff, starting from reception, going through the kitchen staff, cleaning staff and a pair of very professional horse-riding instructors and more than that. The equestrian facility that they offer to the tourist's disposal is very clean, horses well kept, taken care of and fed. The owners are a pleasure to talk to and very open to meet any need or doable desire that one may have. We felt like part of the family there, like home! It's just an amazing and wonderful place to enjoy yourself, to calm down, to be one with the nature. Strongly recommend!!!

My kids love horseback riding and this was the main reason we have chosen this resort. We wanted to spend the end of the year together with the extended family while the kids enjoyed the horses. And a great choice we have made! We bought the End of the Year package that included horseback riding, kids activities and the end of the year party. Everything was great, from accommodation to food and services. Nice, clean rooms, good traditional food and extremely nice, accommodating personnel. The main attraction remain the horses but if you like walking you can stroll for hours along the hills having as a companion one the Romanian Shepherd dogs that live there. As a note, this is a remote place for nature loving people. I really appreciated the lack of TV in the rooms, the food prepared locally and the lack of connection to the big cities. As I like walking some documented trails would have helped in deciding where to go and how long it would take. We will definitively return during the summer! PS: Only one request, I am a tea drinker and as much as I appreciate the coffee on the third day I would have killed for an Earl Grey :)

A gem hidden in the hills at the feet of the mountains. Great scenery, welcoming hosts and friendly horses. If you're looking for silence and nature this an excellent choice close to Bucharest.

Stayed here for a weekend and found it super clean and cosy. The food was ok, didnt wow me, and the service was quite good. You can take a walk on the hills nearby or enjoy some horse riding or a bonfire. Pretty expensive for a weekend, but affordable if you are travelling with kids.
