A wonderful piece of romanian history. Great service and great staff. We had a great time visiting the place, but we were fascinated by the lovely stories about the writer and his interesting life.

This old traditional house is one of the first places I visited when I moved to Iasi and the place where I start my guided tour. It's the first memorial house in Romania and gives a perfect description of how the people in the countryside used to live. The guides here are also amazing, giving you a story-like presentation of the place.

This is a must! One of the most famous writers in romanian literature lived here. Inside the settings are still the same as the time he lived there.

The old house has only 3 rooms so the tour is over quick. It is usually crowded during the weekends so it will be difficult to get a good photo. You can find a free parking place just across the road, in front of the museum.
