Founded in 2012, Asociatia DARUIESTE VIATA/ GIVE LIFE Association is a Romanian non-profit organization whose mission is to challenge the status quo and advance the Romanian hematology-oncology healthcare system, so that it will give cancer patients the best chances to survive and live longer. Since 2012, we accomplished projects that fast-forwarded the circumstances of hematology and oncology in Romania by as much as 25 years: - 2 new Transplant Centers in Bucharest (1 for kids, 1 for adults) - 2 Transplant Centers enlarged & modernized (1 for kids, 1 for adults) - 2 new Laboratories for comprehensive blood cancer diagnosis - 1 new Radiotherapy Center - 1 Oncology Unit remodeled & refurbished Daruieste Viata (The Give Life Association) is building the FIRST Pediatric Oncology and Radiotherapy Hospital in Romania. This is the first time in Romania that an NGO is building a hospital from scratch, only out of donations and sponsorships. As the State hadn’t built anything related to Pediatric Oncology in the past 50 years, in December 2017, Daruieste Viata started preparing the grounds for the Daruieste Viata Hospital, within the yard of the “Marie Curie” Children’s Hospital of Bucharest.
