In February 2017, the National University of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA) conceived the Center for Civic Participation and Democracy – as a think-tank and research, analysis and evaluation unit of civic participation concerning the democratic process. The Center brings together experts in areas such as Political Science, Sociology, Administrative Sciences, Communications, International Relations and European Studies. The Center for Civic Participation and Democracy (CPD) conducts research and develops projects on public participation and communication, democratic values and sustainable development. One of our first and most important projects, right now, is to develop mechanisms to evaluate the impact of anti-Western propaganda in Romania. Such an issue can be measured by teams who have experience in media analysis, sociological research, comparative analysis and data processing in the field of online communication, from Romania, Europe and the United States of America. To develop our projects, we already have partners: SNSPA ( the National University of Political Science and Public Administration, Bucharest) INSCOP & CSCI - research and analysis groups, think-tanks with experience in gathering data, social, political and media analysis. Experts from UEFISCDI (Romania Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation - this a public institution subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research). Partners from the US that will help assist in the research methodology and data analysis domains, while also providing expertise on the matter: Carl Vinson Institute of Government, The University of Georgia, through experts coordinated by Mr. Rusty Brooks Ph.D., director of the International Center of the Institute. Cox Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research, The University of Georgia, through Prof. Tudor Vlad Ph.D., associate director of the Center. Other possible partners from the US: experts from CERES - Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, The George Washington University, Jamestown Foundation (TBD)
