Just a simple site, but free and easy to access! Nice road down the side to take different angles. No need to take the boats.

A very impressive statue of an important person in romanian history. I didnt expect it to be so massive but beautiful, high on the rocks. Its a must see if you travel around this zone, I've seen in from the boat. I recommend the trip by the boat in which you can see several objectives like this.

The rock sculpture of Decebalus It is a colossal carving of the face of Decebalus (r. AD 87–106), the last king of Dacia, who fought against the Roman emperors Domitian and Trajan to preserve the independence of his country, which corresponds to present-day Romania. The rock sculpture of Decebalus is the tallest rock relief in Europe, at 42.9m (180 ft) in height and 31.6m (82 ft) in width. It took 10 years for 12 sculptors to complete it. It was made between 1994 and 2004, on a rocky outcrop on the river Danube, at the Iron Gates, which form the border between Romania and Serbia.

Nice statue carved in the rock during the XX century. Not much more to do once there, you come, see it and that's about it. Some souvenirs shops around. Might be better to see as part of a boat trip

Unfinished, yet impressive. Better seen from the boat (which you can rent on the western side of the Mraconia bridge).

One of the most beautiful places I have seen. It is filled with history and has amazing views on the banks of Danube. A lot of people visiting the place as it is really worth it. You can opt for going on a ride on a boat. Totally recommend

Great arhitectural sculpture. You can get to it either by car or by boat. The boat price per person is 50 lei, a minimum of 6 people.
