You absolutely have to stay here!! The best accommodation in Maramureş. If you wanna have a calm and relaxing trip while experiencing the 100% traditional maramures, here is your place. The host is super nice. The house is an old,101y old house vintage renewed. You have to stay here if you go to Maramureş! Even if it’s fully book try to find at least 1 night! You will not regret

Warm welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely traditional house from Maramures so it actually feels as if you're staying at the village museum but with all necessary amenities to render your stay pleasant and confortable. Cozy rooms, nicely decorated,with all necessary facilities. The structure is relatively new, opened in october 2018 so everything is new and tidy. Loved the idea of staying in a traditional home. Breakfast can be ordered with 24 hours advance at a cost of 50 ron/2 persons. A bit challenging to find the house as the google maps positioning is not accurate - it is right next to the wooden church of Viseu de Sus, behind some houses and an old, abandoned factory. Seems a bit shady as location but then again, Viseu de Sus downtown is not the typical, traditional type of village. Close to the "mocanita" train station. The only thing is, as one could only expect when staying in a wooden house, you can hear noises from everywhere but that's normal with a wooden, traditional home. Luckily enough, it is not the type of place that late-night party people would prefer booking so apart of some nocturnal or early morning conversations, nothing to worry about. Also, the wifi signal is very weak in the rooms

We booked 3 month in advanced, called 2 weeks before our stay to confim, they said everything was ok. Then the day before (while we was on tour, and everything in viseu was booked) they canceled our booking reservations due to "overbooking". My guess is they found somebody to pay more an to avoid booking. Com fees.

This is a superb accommodation with very nice hosts, very helpful and welcoming people in a quiet place. The rooms are very clean! It is a 15 mins walk to mocănița (narrow gauge steam locomotive train) and 15 mins to city center. Ps : there is no tv in the rooms which i find great you get free home made horincă (aka pălincă) to taste!
