If you're lucky enough you'll meet two fluffy furry pieces of cuteness in the garden. One's name is Donatello, other's Antonello. If you're extremely lucky museum's gardener will give you a rose.

The building is nice, the exhibitions were ok, but the lighting is totally inadequate, except for some of the more valuable works of art, which have their own lights. The staff is totally unfriendly, rude even, and cannot behave properly ( they dont have their phone on silent mode, they answer it loudly, talk with each other, etc). An institution with such a collection and history should invest more in training the staff properly.
Beautiful art. Worth visiting all of it .
I visited the museum in may 2019. I only got the chance to buy a ticket to Romanian Art Gallery because there was only one hour untill the closure. Every supervisor checked my ticket in order to be sure that im going to visit the right art gallery that i paid for. Unfortunately, on the ticket was not mentioned the price, nor the exact part of the museum to be visited. So, we found a lady who questioned the fact that we have the right to visit that part of the museum. And this situation was repeating with every visitor. Maybe the museum management should change it because it boders us, the paying visitors. The romanian art gallery was wonderfull. I visited the European art gallery with other occasion and it was also interesting. The museum is nice, but small. In the inner courtyard you can also find 2 obese cats, wich are the mascot of the museum.
Extensive art collection both european and romanian. 20 ron standard entrance for european art collection 12 ron entrance for romanian collection
