Close to the cave, pretty good food, small rooms but clean.

[they don't wear masks ] simple: avoid this place. why? because they lied to us: about availability and what we agree on.
we didn't have a lot of options nearby so we stayed at this place 1 night. as soon as we got there the host insisted that we cancel the reservation on booking.com so that she didn't have to pay commission, but the price we paid to her remained the same, we just lost the little bit of extra security and the possibility to leave a review there. the place itself was a little dated, rooms upstairs were a bit too warm even in June, no air conditioning and no mosquito nets at the windows. there is a terrace with 2 tables and chairs upstairs where people go out to eat their own food or smoke, the door to it locks only from the inside and guests staying in the 2 rooms adjacent to it can get stuck if someone closes the door overnight, we accidentally locked someone out because we didn't realise this. a sign or at least the host telling people about this would be useful :) all in all, it's an ok place if you're not picky, just not a great host and maybe not the best value for money.
Meh. Better than the place across the street. The hostess is very nice.
Nice hosts, but there were a few problems with our room... The shower drain was clogged, and the wifi cannot sustain all the clients.
We want to order wine from the menu..., out of stock all three types. They only have a kind of strange Italian wine that was not on the menu. We get an already opened bottle, this is not a proper whay to treat a client.
Nothing fancy. I've seen far worse 3stars pensions than this. Fairly good rooms with small TV, Double bed, small wardrobe, private bathroom and balcony shared with other room. We were 4 so absolutely ideal spot. You have to live with minor "uncomfortabilities" such as shower taps in the hight of your knees, lack of light bulb here and there, occasional bathroom spiders, party nights at 2am Sunday etc. But the staff here is nice, they speak somehow English if you catch the right person, and prices are outstanding. It's 200m from the Bear Cave / Pestera Ursilor, they cook here (haven't tried can't judge) and not far from here is a "park" where you can have a campfire and a small BBQ. I would recommend for travelers tired from all this rain and looking for a good, dry sleep. ;)
2 hour wait time for some fries..
