If I could choose less than 1 star I would. For those who enjoy having their confirmed reservation cancelled for using the facilities of a hotel, in our case the pool, it is the place to go. If you enjoy the staff of a hotel closing the door in your face while you speak to them, this is the place to go. I travelled a lot from 5 star hotels in USA to hotels run by beduins in the Egiptian desert and I never had such a horrible experience

The Daniel castle, constructed 1680 and renovated recently is an excellent opportunity to stay in a castle. The receptionist is a very nice woman, she offers to show one around the castle and give all the little stories connected to this. All the rooms have special stories: - a room used as an entrance gate - woodland room: full with refurbished wood, which was found in the deteriorated castle at the time of purchase - rooms of the lord and the duchess - ottoman room, with mural paintings, depicting also the Daniel lord, bringing the Transilvanian tribute to the Ottoman sultan - Swans room, opposite the wall on which the coat of arms of the family is found, which depicts a swan The wine cellar further has besides the different wines also home made fruit juices and various pickles.
They give you as a gift a shot of palink. The Hotel is in the centre of the village and they jave a big yard. you can rent bikes from them for 10 E/day. Food above average, good, made with attention and they tell you that if you stay 5 days you will eat every day something different, breakfast exception. They don't have menu a la carte. Otilia from the reception is a really nice women, with a lot of informations and inside information about the area.

The rooms have a heavy smell, I believe the carpets need a wash. Breakfast is ok, the menu is very limited, highly priced and small portions. Nothing to do for kids in the yard.
Great experience, very good food and a very good selection of wines! Friendly staff, nice owners and great accommodation for everybody. Child friendly, disabled friendly. Nice find in the center of the country. Pro tip: chose The Swan room ;)
