ING once offered the best customer service of any bank in Romania and for most people good enough banking products, even for acceptable fees, just a few years back. Meanwhile they are the worst. It's a spectacular downfall. If you enjoy the most bureaucratic and communist procedures (twice a year at least, just for being a customer), love rude and incompetent branch officers or call center agents, shady managers, unreliable and buggy online banking with as little features as possible, being ripped off at every FX transaction, unreasonably high fees for simple operations, if wasting time is one of your favorite activities, come here, they have a special package for you.
What a joke of a bank. I am their client for many many years and they’ve degraded in such a way that it almost looks like a bad joke. They’ve been keeping my account locked for months! I keep sending them all the documents they want but they are not even trying to solve my problem. Extremely rude staff, with very condescending and unprofessional attitude (call center, email support), no way to escalate issues.. no way to even be listened to. The mobile app for homebank has terrible performance and it is full of bugs.. To be honest I really think people don’t care about this product anymore. Especially their own employees and representatives. I have to suffer and accumulate more and more frustrations until hopefully I will manage to just close my account and move somewhere else, where they do give a damn. It’s just sad

The bank that wants to know about the colors of your wifes pants to let you use your own money. You must go and make all kind of paper work and “declarations” like the comunsit time. If you want to have a business account be prepared to write a statement from what brest of your mother have suckt milk. Humiliaiting service!
Two months trying to solve an error the Insurance Department of ING made, for the 2nd year in a row. Numerous emails, calls and even contacted them over twitter with no results. I used to be a big fan of ING Bank for years, but their Insurance department is impossible to get in contact with or resolve anything. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy insurance from ING, go to any other broker on the market. The discounts they give are not worth the pain in trying to deal with them.
