Wonderful experience with the horses on the hills and forest. A very traditional and tasty lunch also included!

Very nice equestrian and horse riding facility. The only downside I would note is the fact that some of the horses look a bit unattended and not well fed. However most horses are ok and friendly.

If you are up for 5-6 hours of adventure then this is the place to go! The owner, Dan, can appear rough at the beginning, especially when he's explaining the dos and don'ts of the day. But once you get to interact with him you realise that he loves what he is doing, he cares deeply about the horses and it's real pleasure to talk to him. When you arrive at the place you are received as a member of the family, there is no formal introduction, you just take a place in the big yard, play with the dogs, walk around, pick a helmet and talk to the people there. Everybody if friendly and makes you feel welcomed. After everyone arrives you go for a short safety training, teaching you the basics about human-horse interaction, you get assigned a horse and off you go! The horses are very well trained, docile and friendly. They know their place in the group so once you hop on the horse (that could be the hard part, just so you know) you just have to make yourself comfortable (ok, another hard part) and follow a couple of common sens rules and enjoy the view. You'll go up a small mountain, have a break there, enjoy some bulz, sausages and a well deserved rest in the sunshine. Then you'll be back on the horse for another 2 hours back to the village. The trip from Bucharest takes around 2h-2h30, including a coffee break. We had to be at the meeting place at 10, and we rode from around 11 and got back at 17.30. The group was pretty big, around 30 people but it didn't feel like a big crowd somehow. It is a must have experience!

We had a wonderful ride through the hills and village. The scenery was fabulous. The horses were calm and the guide made sure we were always in control. Unfortunately he didn’t speak any English and we don’t speak Romanian so there was no opportunity to ask questions about the area, etc. The facilities were minimal, but the tour itself made up for anything lacking.
