Great place to visit - Voroneț Monastery, \Eastern Sistine Chapel\, is a medieval monastic complex built in the village of Voroneț, today part of the town of Gura Humorului. The monastery is located 36 km from Suceava and only 4 km from the center of Gura Humorului. It is one of the most valuable foundations of Stephen the Great (1457-1504). The church was built in 1488 in only 3 months and 3 weeks, which is a record for that time. It is known for the special blue paint over the exterior walls, blue paint that is changing it's color/view during the day and during the seasons. It can be asked to nuns to explain the history of the monastery and what the paints means. Great place !!!

St. George's Monastery Church is one of the most remarkable historical monuments of the Moldova era. This monastic church, perhaps on the site of the former wooden church, was founded in 1488 by King Stephen the Great (Ştefan cel Mare) after his victory over the Turks. Its founding inscription can be read at the entrance to the church, which shows that its construction took only a few months. The murals used the color \voroneţi blue\, which is world-famous and has proved to be an unsuccessful attempt to produce materials. The artist is unknown still now. Soma paintings are representing how the King fight against the Turks.

Nice and quiet place if you choose to visit when program ends. The Voronet blue is unique and you have to hurry up to visit the monestry if you want to see it. The rain and the wind erase the picture from the walls.

One of Romania most famous monastery. The blue colour of the walls is unique and nowere to be found elsewhere in the world. It is said that the exact recipe for that pigment was never written down. Totally worth a half an hour visit. Admission fees are 2 Lei for pupils and 5 lei for adults. Souvenirs can be purchased at the entrance.

Really beautiful. The people there are amazing. There is a dress code (trousers and dresses/skirts must be knee-length at least, and a bit of coverage is required on the top half too, however they provide you with an apron to cover yourself if your outfit is deemed too showing). There's beautiful monuments and the monastery to see and visit. The famous blue Voroneț can be observed very easily.

As beautiful from the outside as from the inside, definitely worth a visit and to pay the little entrance fee for. You can take pictures from the outside and no one will bother you to pay the extra fee. It's an active monetary, so be respectful and quiet around the place. You will be requried and provided with long skirts to cover your legs if you arrive in shorts or short skirts.

The only one in the region which I had to pay for and the only one which was also crowded. Better to see any other as you might enjoy them more
