Cosy, traditional place, that also has modern ammenities (wifi, modern bathroom), with a lovely quiet garden. The host, Bogdan, is very friendly and helpful in providing different information regarding the surroundings. I recommend the home made breakfast with local products.
the property consists of the big main house and and a smaller old dwelling across it in the yard. The buildings are beautifully renovated with great care for details and furnished with authentic pieces of furniture and other old Saxon decoration. A traditionally built barn is closing the back of the yard paved with white river stones -- the original pavement has been unearthed by local villagers that still master the old ways of doing home improvement...
The road through Dacia to Rupea is 12km but way better. Very picturesque scenery and feel, a piece of Transylvania
we had an unique experience in this UNESCO village.
Bogdan (the host) is the most incredibile guy that you could possibly have. He has arranged this traditional transylvanian house in a way that you need nothing more if you are looking for a genuine country-side experience. Very kind and very careful with the guests. I highly recommend Viscri 9. Thank you Bogdan!
We’ve had a most rewarding village experence over an extended week-end. The preservation work is amazing. Bogdan’s dogged insistance on using authentic materials and techniques offers a rare glimpse into the lives of the people living there. You’ll meet the yard’s vocal flock of geese, the community’s equally vocal and friendly bandit cat, breathe in fresh air and enjoy traditional meals in the village. I have nothing but fond memories of the place.
Merita vizitat ! O locatie incarcata de istorie!
