We attended an event on my birthday - \Portugueuse wine tasting\ and we enjoyed every moment of it. Cozy place, nice audience & presenter (Alin) and amazing wines (my favourite was Luis Pato Baga Vinha Barrosa Tinto - 2010 from region Bairrada) We will definitely come back.

The Wine Guy is more like The Wise Guy. Besides offering a place to buy wine, the owner also organizes from time to time special events like intro to wine tasting or how to pair cheese with wine. These events are full of interesting information from the types of vineyards to how to determin the quality of wine. It's a magical place where wine is the main character. I highly recommend going to at least one of events.
Small and cozy place with great wine selection and tasty tapas to go along
Small, cozy place, a good selection of wines, tasty tapas and a really friendly sommelier, which is no one else then the owner owner himself. They offer weekly wine tastings, but you have to be subscribed to their mailing list / Facebook page to get a notification about them. Also, the place is small and fits about 12 people, so make sure to call ahead!
Great wine place! The owner is very passionate about wines, hence all the useful info when trying to pick a wine that suits every taste.
The perfect place for both wine geeks or casual wine lovers. Small, tidy, nonsmoking wine bar with excellent choice of local wines, that you can either buy and take or enjoy right on the spot. But the true treasure is the guy who runs (probably owns) the place. Extremely devoted professional, ready to teach, suggest, help, share his own deep knowledge of wine, especially of local varietals. Do treat yourself with a special wine tasting (6 local wines, 3 whites, 3 reds, with a complimentary plate of fine cheeses and some prosciutto), for as affordable as 10 euros per person. There's also a small but decent choice of international wines to buy or to taste. A true must if you find yourself in Timisoara.
The place to go if you're looking for a good wine and an interesting story
I've been to 2 winetastings here and I had a good time on both occasions. Alin prepares his tastings well and I'm impressed by his choice of wines. I tasted a number of memorable ones. I recommend this place also for the good selection of Romanian and foreign wines he sell.
