The Military Museum in Timisoara is a museum in Timisoara, classified by cIMeC in the category "museums under a ministry (except the Ministry of Culture)". It is located in the Freedom Square no. 5. The Timisoara Military Museum is organized into six rooms, five of them reflecting distinct periods in the history of Romania - Decebal, the Early Middle Ages, the Middle Ages, Mihai Viteazul, the Unification of the Romanian Principalities and the two World Wars - and the hall called "The Arms Hall and the military outfits ”, comprising exhibits of this kind from different historical periods. The museum's heritage consists of over 2000 museum objects: maps, period documents, models of historical monuments, photographs, armament and military outfits. The museum operates in the former garrison building, originally known as the "New Generalat".
