It's incredible. When you get in you're almost struck by smoke: acrid smell of roast and thousands of lit cigarettes smoking. I think it is rather uncivilized allow smoking in area specific for tasting food, specially after several kilometers by bus.

With the appearance of a place I'd normally consider stopping by only under the direst of circumstances, pushed by the most voracious of hugers (or fullest of bladders), Popasul Mărginimii lived exactly down to my expectations when, on the way to Alba Iulia, the bus made a 40 minute stop, leaving little choice left in matters of dinner. Admittedly, my opinion on the food quality is limited to the beef soup I had, which was thankfully accompanied by half-decent bread which both made the whole mediocre thing go down easier and made for a slightly more filling dinner. It's possible that other dishes are mpre tasty, but because of the limited time frame, I decided against trying to find out. I'd perhaps have been more forgiving in my judgement of the soup (as well s able to enjoy it more), had I not been forced to eat it while simultaneously waving away the flies persistently buzzing around, of which there were not few. And while I don't need or expect the food I have in a motel/restaurant on the side of a major national road to be a delicacy, I do expect to be able to have it without having to chase flies away. I wouldn't say the waiter was rude, but neither did I feel any sort of welcome. I didn't have to wait to long, neither for ny order to be taken, nor for the food to be delivered. Prompt and curt would be a fair way of describing service. To sum things up, I find it very doubtful I'll be stopping by again except under identical circumstances. Possibly worth trying for some of the other dishes, but qyite unlikely.
