Loved the collection of different gauge steam locomotives, that are kept here. Shame that are not taken care of as they should be. They are the steam heritage of the Romanian Railways, i suggest each locomotive should have a cover over to protect it from the elements. If those locomotives could be restored to an operational state, they could prove a worthy tourist attraction!

No guides or explanations, just many trains from different generations standing on open ground. It's possible to enter and the cabins, pull switches and get dirty.

Why is it closed when everything else is open?

It's not actually a museum. There are locomotives outside that are left over there. They are all kind of locomotives, but nobody cares about the trains and nobody maintains them.

Even though it’s an open space museum , the depot owner does not allow access during COVID. Looks promising though so will try some other time

Free, nothing luxurious but can climb on the locomotives. Definately worth to stop here. Joyful reality

An interesting detour but I don't think this can really be called a museum, it's more of a depot. We were greeted with suspicion by a security guard who wanted to see our passports. There's absolutely no information available, in Romanian or otherwise, so it's basically just a collection of steam engines with no context

A good place to see several steam engines; unfortunately there is no guide, only some references that can be read from a folder you are handed when starting the tour. The engines are well kept, but non-functional; you can only guess how those worked in the past. You can review the exhibition in about one hour if you're not in a hurry. Getting there would have been difficult without Google Maps. All in all, a pleasant experience.
