The Lolaia Ridge leads to the Retezat Peak. If you choose to start from the camping Pietrele you have to make a steep climb either following the yellow band or following the blue cross in the Stanisoara Valley and then climbing on the ridge. In any case the trail of the Lolaia Ridge is the yellow band. That will lead you on the Lolaia North and South peaks well above 2000 meters. Beware, the climb on the Retezat peak is harder from the north, it is steeper.
Traseu mai bun de coborare decat de urcare (poteca Cab. Pietrele - culmea Lolaia prost trasata). Marcaj pe alocuri inexistent. Pericol de ratacire mai ales pe ceata. Insuficiente indicatoare. Peisaj frumos.
