Quiet place in the middle of the mountains; no wi-fi and no phone connection, which was great! Very good food and very nice host! A place of heaven for those who love mountains! You can take various mountain hiking routes from there. The cabin has a small animal farm which the kids loved. Close to Transalpina Ski resort. Also, wooden sauna and outdoor wooden bathtub available. We would certainly love to check in again!

Small menu selection, the food is good though. A little bit pricey

Very nice place on the base of Paring mountains, clean and warm. The innkeeper , Calin , is a very very nice gentleman, he talked to us and advised us on witch hikes to take, witch are accessible, witch are wild. All the cabin staff are welcoming and hospitable. What surprised us the most and made our weekend even more enjoyable was a young Saint Bernard by the name of Ben. Ben is the most adorable dog we have ever met, he liked us from the first moment he laid eyes on us and we liked him back. Ben joined us on a full day hike trip , on witch he took good care , making us feel safer. He loves going on hikes with tourists , he loves the mountains. Truly a noble creature.

Wild place in the middle of the nature. The staff was friendly, the room had hot water and heating (sadly no electricity- only lights). Too bad the other guests gave a party and we couldn’t sleep after a long hike.

Very nice place, friendly staff, good prices, pitoresc views. Rooms are rustic and have bathrooms, food is great, there is no mobile reception but that is not a bad thing. The road from Petroșani to the caban is bad and you need 35 min to navigate it in the summer time, în winter I suspect is even harder.

The food was very good and we liked very much the big dog, Ben, who followed us on a trail to the Parangul Mare summit. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, the only downside, is some problem with the shower drain, water will get on the floor. Best thing about this place: there's no mobile signal / internet or wifi! Overall, this place is a hidden gem, highly recommended for mountaineers.
