The architecture is very modern and unique. You get the same impression of eaching up for heaven\ that you get with gothic cathedrals.
This opinion comes from someone not really interested about religion, so this aspect was quite lost on me, but this church is an absolute marvel of architecture. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it, anywhere else in europe! Maybe in some videogames at best, and if you know what game I'm hinting at, you will understand. It was such a shame the main inner area was closed off when we went to visit, but what we did manage to see was nothing short of incredible. The roof itself is a thing to behold, flowing in curved patterns to form a cross-shaped skylight that lights the inside of the church. Even the outer walls are impressive, instead of being a plain flat wall, they have an interesting geometric pattern extending all across. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and check this out too.
