I spent 5 lovely days here in the summer, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, a rapid river and 2 nearby waterfalls. The chalet is great, though the rooms are small. The shared living space, and small rooms can definetly bring a group closer. And I do understand this is a chalet, but I believe cleanliness can be improved. All in all, a great experience and I reccomend it.

Avoid during wintertime. All double rooms are improvised, you can only fit a double matress and 2 bags and that's it. The bed is just a matress on the floor. Be ready to hit your head several times if you stay here, i suggest a helmet. No problem if you're a midget though. Also the door is a glass window, so your privacy is null. There are 2 bathrooms for 23 people, but only one shower works. There is heating only on the ground floor (2 fireplaces), upstairs it gets really chilly by night, i suggest a sleeping bag. Kitchen is in a separate building than the sleeping building and it's freezing cold in there. Other than that, design is OK, surroundings are nice. Perhaps summertime is a better time to visit this lodge...
Good place for bbq and relaxation. Not to close to the other cabins. It has some great views, pet friendly (we had 5 dogs), friendly cabin cat and dog. The kitchen was quite big and had a lot of cups and cuttlery. Was easy to maintain heat. It is 40 minutes from "Cheile Dumitresei".
Here you can find anything you want and need for a very nice weekend with you friends /family / relatives.... it fits in the summer time and in winter also .
great place to spend the weekend with friends. area is really quiet and you can relax. caban is small but cozy and clean.
Ok: the surroundings are beautiful: the villages located around the valley and the natural landscape in winter. Not ok: 1. Interesting but completely non practical design of the house: the so called 6 rooms located upstairs are so tiny that only 2 of them could actually be called rooms. There are 4 very small rooms where a person taller than 1.60 cannot stand (they are rather sleeping beds under a roof - the heat comes from electrical heaters, no communicating heating system with the fireplace located downstairs). 2. Also, pay attention to the fact that 4 of the 22 places are not positioned in any room, they are just some suspended bunkbeds in the hallway upstairs, only fit for children playing tree house, could not be called beds for adults. 3. Also, impossible to sleep in the heating room - a single room is placed at ground floor, ensuring half of the heating of the house. So, in wintertime, unless you are a fan of sleeping comfortably at 30 degrees so that the people sleeping downstairs can get 21 degrees, we do not recommend this room. I would say that the normal maximum capacity of this place is actually 16 places. 4. Only 2 toilets for 22 capacity. Only 1 shower available and working in the entire facility. 5. In the proximity of another guesthouse - 200 m away. If you are not lucky, you risk being disturbed by the parties nearby...depends on guests... Conclusion: overpriced as compared to services offered and as compared to other similar premises.
