It's awesome! 100m close to the water. The service was outstanding and with a very nice chill vibe.
Excellent ! A dog-friendly, beach-empty, novel experience! You get to sleep in these huge barrels :D that are 10 seconds away from the beach! The barrels are reclaimed wood from barrels from wineries and breweries. They've been cleaned and prepped with a welcoming bed, a light, a door, and a tiny patio. Air-quality is amazing! We used WYND to measure the air quality here and it's a code blue! This is incredible, and you can feel it lung-deep, at least when comparing it to Bucharest. You can rent boardgames for near-nothing and enjoy a fresh smoothie & raw blends from the raw bar! There's a small area with all sorts of joints, and prices are sea-level :D ! This place is so cool we're not going to tell too many people about it because we're selfish and would rather not share. The first rule of "Colonia la Butoaie" is that you do not talk about "Colonia la Butoaie"! Maia THE DOG loves the freedom of movement and the uber dog-friendly personnel :D !
They should update the photos on the website. Blocks of flats shade the camping. Very high prices for the food. Lots of dirt at the entrance. Mattress in the barrel is actually a piece of sponge. Also, the linen was not very clean. Good place to come once, but never come back. Try it yourself!

Heavenly. And not an expensive heaven either. Plus it's the kind of heaven that dogs go to as well. We had a great private view of the sea and the sunrise from our cozy barrel. The beach is clean and not at all crowded. From here you can go to the nearest town for shopping on foot(although there are also busses available). There are quite a few restaurants nearby and you can also get something to eat here. There are fridges you can use at the location and all common spaces (including the bathrooms) are spotless. I have nothing bad to say. I just loved it.
Nice place for low cost vacation, kind staff, nice vibes...too bad that a huge block of flats was built between the barrels and the see.
Clean camping , nicely decorated, with own kitchen, close to the sea front, hot watter , very good service from the owners
