Pleasantly surprised! A quaint spot fairly close to the city center serving hearty food, just like my mamma used to make. In spite of the somewhat slow service, the food was worth the wait. The soups were honestly some of the best we've tasted, honoring some of Romania's most popular dishes. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic place to eat. The waiters were very helpful, prompt and polite. The food was delicious and of high quality. The pricing is cheap. Bathrooms are well clean and well maintained. I’d definitely visit again.
Per request of the owner: Let me first say that the waitress who served us was very nice, and did a fine job, so that is a point in favor of this restaurant. The reason we gave this restaurant only two stars is for several reasons. We wanted to order pizza, which we did; the problem is that there are not very many options, and when we did order it took the better part of an hour (at least 45 minutes) to get our pizza. It was a normal lunch hour, about 12pm, and it was not busy in the restaurant at all. I think besides us, there were maybe 5 other people. When we finally got our pizza, it was of course hot and fresh as you would expect, but unfortunately it was just not very good. There are several other better pizza places in the area. No, we would not recommend this restaurant to someone else. (The owner requested reasons why we gave it two stars - these are the reasons. If they are not acceptable, maybe the owner should have just left the review at two stars without the explanation as to why. But I'm sure other customers will be happy to know why we gave it two stars).
The staff is soooo welcoming in this place! The dishes were super delicious too. It’s a private location, off street, in a cute yard. The dishes we had reminded us of the taste of grandma’s food. We would gladly return here, which we really wanted, but unfortunately they close early (1-pm) - possibly due to the strict pandemic regulations in Romania.
Local cuisine, good taste. Friendly and polite stuff. Affordable prices. Definevtly, best place to eat, while are in Hațeg city.
The food was really good, freshly prepped; there was nothing \fast food\ in my plate and that's what I was looking for in a good meal. Great service, great music. I definitely recommend this place

Great place. Good service. You should visit this place if you want to taste traditional Romanian food. They also respect the sanitary guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, you can have a two course meal and drinks with under 10 euros.
