Inside this cave there is a huge glacier. The way inside the cave is a bit difficult to pass meaning that you have to climb down several meters to the entrance. When I was here the glacier was in the melting stage of the year so I couldn't go to the second chamber because the ice was very slippery. Also the walk from the parking lot to the ticket office is through the forest and you must follow the signs on the trees not to get lost. Overall it's worth visiting at least once :)

Great experience and impressive place. Be prepared with something to wear and preferred boots. It costs 15 lei and you can visit only with a guided tour. It goes every 45 minutes. There are more caves not far from here, so if you are into them, it is the right place to be. A lot of things to do around and the road is very good. Try the local \plăcinte\ with cheese or blueberry jam.

Great experience if it wasn't for the poor administration of this natural wonder. You wait in line for 20 minutes to get a ticket (if you're lucky) and after that another 40 to go into the cave. The two men that guide you inside the cave have to also sell tickets. Could definitely improve the visitors' experience with a better ticketing system.

Stunning! One of the biggest underground ice masses! A jacket is a must, boots are recommended because the built up wooden walkways get wet. The scale and extraterrestrial feel of this place are breathtaking! There's a bit of a hill to climb until you reach the access point, from which you wait for the tour guide to gather enough tourists to go down. You have to descend on steep steps but it's easy to do as the large group moves slowly because of the frequent stops to take pictures. Don't be the person trying to get past, enjoy the view, take a picture and especially take it all in with your eyes.

Stairs in the entrance are in classic Romanian style. “If it breaks, dont bother with cleaning the mess, just build another stairs on top of the old ones.” But the cave it self is really awesome.

A nice location to be. Also in the summer. I prefere more in the full winter because inside is warm then outside :))
