An extraordinary experience, wine tasting was a great experience, a very passionated and a true connoisseur person presented us the entire process of production and told the story of his wines. We had a chance to tase also the grapes being harvest time, feteasca regala. If you are in the area is worth it to visit this place, you will not regret. Make sure to call before you arrive, to ensure the owner will be there to welcome you.

The wine presentation was very interesting for all of us, no matter the level of knowledge we each had! The story behind the Catleya name is awesome and has a direct connection with the romanian history and literature! The Mai Mult Ca Perfect collection is even more creative, linked with the geography and the people living in that area of Romania. The tasting was complex and they presented us white, roze and red wines from different collections. And all the event has ended on the winery hill, admiring the sunset while enjoying two of our favorite wines and a variety of complementary foods. We would like to go back and spend some more time, probably even during the harvest days!
I had the opportunity to visit Catleya winery and it was a lovely experience. The winemaker is a friendly guy who gave us a tour and details about the winemaking process wine tasting a short lesson about fragrances of wine.
Vinařství Catleya Rumunsko Laurent Pfeffer…zakladatel vinařství Catleya je podle mě mimořádně nadaný a chytrý vinař, který začal vyrábět vlastní vína na 10 hektarech v obci Corcova oblasti Mehedinţiv. Je to blázen? Nebo ne…Opustit svou rodnou francii riskovat neúspěch a zahájit druhou kariéru ve víně v Rumunsku? Určitě ne.. Je zde optimální klima, dobré ceny pozemků, krásná příroda, skoro žádní škůdci, tak proč ne. K jeho prospěchu musím říct, že je také velmi komunikativní. Prohlídka a degustace probíhala ve velmi přátelském duchu. Všechna vína byla velmi lahodná a nezapomenutelná. Osobně jsem si nejvíc mlaskal u vína řady Épopée Red Merlot :-) Laurent Pfeffer svou veselou povahou a skvělým vínem dělá lidi šťastnými. A to je nejvíc !!!
