The first question that came to mind when I was on my way to The Guild Hall was: are the employees passionate about board games and know stuff about them, or am I gonna find some bored, cocky and uncaring employee who knows close to nothing (I've went to a lot of music instrument stores who had employees who had no ideea what they sell ). I got to say that I was blown away. I was greeted by a really nice female employee, somewhere around the age of 25, with curly hair, which basically was the exact person a store like this needs. She was very passionate about board games, she knew a lot of stuff about them and she could make more than decent recommendations of games based upon other games I've told her I enjoy. I've also loved the fact that I didn't feel guilty for wanting to have more of a full fledged conversation rather than a short smalltalk about what I want to buy, as I've felt that this employee wanted to talk and to share what she knows just as much as I did. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate when the employees are at least as passionate as you are about... well... the stuff they are employed to sell, you know? Definitely coming back for other recommendations, even though buying from other online stores is cheaper (the experience is worth the extra money imo, so the extra money are justified).

I was quite surprised by how spacious this palce can be. They have a total of 3 levels, the top ones being very wide and with plenty of space. The have a very wide collection of available games for people to play (at the time of writing, they 144!) They also have plenty of extra accessories for certain games. The staff was really nice and friendly and they are very patient with explaining things and passionate about games. For the high quality and the wide variety of games you have acces to, I believe this place is not that expensive. Ah yes, here you have a few types of payments: you can either get a day or evening pass, or get a membership. You have free water and tea included in any of their price points. They even let you bring your own snacks or order food and eat it there (just be mindful and clean after yourself and make sure not to dirty the games).
