Equality and Human Rights Action Centre (ACTEDO) is a human rights non-governmental organisation, established in 2013, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. ACTEDO’s mission is to promote fundamental human rights and gender equality and to act against human rights violations. In order to reach our objectives, we pursue three strategic directions (programmes): 1. Access to Justice 2. Human Rights Education 3. Gender Equality Since 2015, ACTEDO has developed the first human rights clearinghouse in Romania uniting pro bono lawyers willing to provide legal aid on cases of human rights violations. In 2016, our project was received the European Award for Local Pro Bono Impact at the European Pro bono Forum in Amsterdam.
