Great cozy spot for a breakfast / brunch combination. The avo toast was crispy and nice, the coffee delicious and free (they have a one-free-coffee thing going on) and the staff friendly. The seating is somewhat uncomfortable and not so inviting for longer stays. Would go back.

DOT is the place for a perfect complete experience while visiting Cluj. Not far from the City center, but hidden away from all the noise of a touristy town, DOT let's you enjoy some simple but amazing tasty food made with passion, entirely out of local products (the bread, the eggs, the veggies, the cheese and even some local craft beers). The terrace has a big central sharing table and a separate area designed for smoking so that nobody is bothered while eating. The friendly staff perfectly blends in a friendly and very practical design inside and outside, and takes time to take feedback and also explain to you how everything is made and purchesed, if you are curious that is. Do not miss this one, your senses will thank you!
Best breakfast in town! Very tasty and healthy toasts.(I recommend the toast with spinach, egg and home made turkey pastrami). The place is very nice and pet friendly. Also the staff are kind and helpful.
I have tried to go there and eat because people recommended this place, however, I could not get along with their ordering system. As soon as we arrived we have been told that we have to download an app to order and we order through the app. I did. I downloaded the app and then I had to create an account. I did. I had an account, then I finally had access to the menu but I am allergic to milk. There was no option for me to order under those circumstances. I didn't see anyone around to order with, so after 20 minutes I got up and left. No one had checked on me for the entire time. While I think some people enjoy this system, it may not be fit for everyone. Maybe you don;t have space on your phone, or wifi, or maybe you even leave your phone at home, or you are older... I have not dined here, so the two start have nothing to do with the quality of food, which may be awesome. It's based purely on how long it took me to get to a point where I could order, and be left without an option to ask what is dairy free, or order it dairy free.
We absolutely loved DOT - from the friendly atmosphere and staff to the absolutely delicious food! As you can see from the photos, each dish has its own character and looks very colourful and healthy. The menu has a large vegetarian section with very tempting options and often quite quirky ingredients, so if you are in the old town, do pass by, you won't regret it!
This place has everything you need to feel great and determine you to come back: a minimalist modern design, a very good menu with lots of choices that are cooked to perfection, nice plating, good coffee (although not as extensive as in other places that feature origin coffee), friendly staff with a big smile on their faces all the time and very good English knowledge. Did I mention that tips can be paid by card and the place is pet-friendly? During our 4 days stay in Cluj we went 3 times there for breakfast. It is that good!
Amazing place for all hours of the day! Delicious food, friendly staff, good coffee and lots of craft beer options to choose from! Highly advice for a quick snack or just for a beer! Will be visiting again for sure!!
Excellent breakfast place and more. There is a great variety of beers. They even gave umbrellas to everyone at the terrace to hide from the rain. Highly recommend! :)
