We have been here for the first time 6 years ago and we liked it a lot so we came back again with the first occasion while visiting Tg. Jiu. Everything was great: the pool was clean, the room was comfy and the food was really great. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Casa Cartianu is in the middle of the nature, in a nice village, not very far from Tg. Jiu. It's quite easy to get there. It's a perfect place to relax for a few days.
We definitely recommend this place. We only stopped for a night, as we were going somewhere else.The innkeeper was nice, the room was lovely and warm, the food was excellent. Price for this accommodation was more than decent. 130 RON for 2 people, breakfast included.
Nice place, room big enough, good mattress and most importantly located in a quiet area. It's better in the summer because they have a nice pool. Breakfast is not good, it's not bad - usual defrosted and of the shelf from the supermarket, but very strange they limit the traveler to one and only one drink - a tea or a coffee. Strange...
Great place, the food and service are incredible good.
I just love this place. Our wedding was here and we had an amazing event. Here you have the chance to eat traditional home made food. Also there is a beautiful orchard with plums and apple trees for relaxing moments in the middle of the nature. Just near Casa Cartisnu there is a museum where you will have the chance to view and to understand better the Romanian heritage. Come and visit this place because I guarantee you won't regret it
