Most products are from Japan, good quality, but not too many brands. The mochi from Taiwan are worse than Japanese mochi, very very sweet. The mochi from Italy (Biyori) are acceptable if you are a fan of sesame or peanut ... The red bean is not Europeans' favorite. I recommend you to bring mochi with fruits flavours as peach, strawberries, orange / or flavours as matcha, coffee, Chocolate, milk Also, Meiji products are very good and I recommend you to bring some sweets like the ones în the attached photos

Great Little Japanese Store that has everything you need to prepare your favorite asian dish.

This small store sells a great selection of Japanese goods that you can not find elsewhere in Bucharest. When I recently visited the store their stock was a lot smaller than before. But I was able to buy what I was looking for and I may have just gone at a bad timing. The only really big downside is that the Japanese market here in Romania is particularly very small. Their prices are around x3 the prices you would pay in Japan.

This place has a very very small selection. It is only good for sake, which is very hard to find in Romania, as well as relatively cheap pocky and flavored kit kats. If you are looking for grocery items like rice, soy sauce, miso, seaweed, dumplings, etc, go to KJ market at Universitate.

Their stock is very very limited... empty shelves... :( The lady who’s working there is careless. I’ve found a better place if you want to buy good japanese stuff: KJ center
