They try to do a decent job. Few employees with large qeues. You have to scan your documents online on their IGI website. After a week just call them continously to set up an appointment, do not wait for an email.

Worst organized place I’ve ever seen in my whole life

As others have described, not a welcoming place. No fan or AC for visitors, no numbers to take, just queue. I encountered an extremely unhelpful and nasty woman, a very helpful woman and an okay man working there. I'm sure they know who they are!

Hey Chad

What they tell you in person versus the website is completely opposite. Don't trust the website and don't bother trying to call. No one will answer.

I've been lots of time in 5 years, for making (and then renewing) my CNP, and everytime it has been a nightmare. Endless queues, info on the website that are never up to date, the first time (years ago) I had problems because few people there speak or understand english (and we are talking about an immigration office in an EUROPEAN CAPITAL!!!!), now thank God after years I know romanian language, so the 2nd time was a little bit better!!

Things have always run quick and smoothly for me here at the EU citizens counter. I've been here 4 times, 3 of the times there was no wait and I saw someone immediately. I was given clear instructions and everything progressed smoothly. I've been served by two different people there and as my Romanian isn't the best it was helpful that they both spoke good English. I'd give 5 stars if the sign posting was better (I went to the wrong part of the building to begin with), there was toilet paper in the toilet, there was a bit more English used with the pinned up information notices, and the officers where a bit warmer (though the last thing may just be a cultural thing that I'm over sensitive about).

The build is the yellow one, door C (you will see when you entry at left side). The online application form is not very useful, just to have an appointment and don't have to wait the queue (for EU citizens is the first window), just go to the window and say that you have an appointment for your hour. You will have to fill again the same application form that you did online, but by hand and give the required papers. You have to go at morning until 12:30 I think. Then, the responsible person will give you a paper to come back at afternoon, between 14:30 and 16:30. At this time you have to go with the paper and she/he will give you the official document.
