Definitely a one of the best decisions we made on our trip was to go see Aida at the Romanian Athenaeum. The whole show was really well set up and lasted around 3 hours. I think we paid something around 20e per person from pretty good seats so it's definitely not a lot. If you visit Bucharest see if you can get some tickets to here!

The most iconic building of Bucharest, Ateneul Român concert hall is the host foar the most important classical music concerts. The interior is breathtakingly beautiful and the acousting is amazing! This place is a must see when in Bucharest.

Easily one of the most beautiful buildings in Bucharest. We got the chance to go inside on a Tuesday evening at 9.30pm and had the place to ourselves. 10 Lei per had is so worth it. You can freely wander around and go into the concert hall. No supervision, just beautiful neoclassical architecture in pristine condition.

Built in 1888, is an inspiring place for all sorts of artists! Highly representative for Romania's History of Art. An painting covers all the circled wall's surface, representing the most relevant scenes of Romania's medieval History. The sound is well distributed despite the unusual form for a concert hall. But most important, the Enescu Philharmonic gives to this hall an terrific quality!! I personally think this is one of the most particularly beautiful Concert hall in Europe! Definitely worthy!

Our experience could not be better. We went to visit this place on a given Sunday. Of course it was close; but one of the keep guards suggested that we could pay ten lei each and then we could get into the building to see it: the result was that we were totally alone in this amazing music house, having the chance to visit the stage. I can confirm the chairs and stands are the same as they had in the 70’s when a friend of mine was playing here. AND in the basement it was playing piano this student that I could not believe how amazing technic and musicality I was listening.

A must-see place! Absolutely stunning architecture inside and outside. It cost us 10 lei to get in per person which pretty cheap.

It's impressive from outside, but not as much as inside! 10 lei for entrance and it's totally worth it! Concert hall is beautiful, I wish I could come here for concert!

The Romanian Athenaeum is one of the buildings you just have to see if you're in Bucharest. I had the pleasure of attending concerts and recitals there and was wowed by the ornate interiors. I held back on giving a five star rating because, especially for someone as tall as I am, the chairs have no leg room, and some parts of the building could use some restoration.
