It is a \must visit\. Very beautiful, informative though, in my opinion, not a complete picture of the Romanian history

Great place to visit and get a taste of Romanian history in the middle of Bucharest. Although everything in the museum is really interesting to look and wander at, it's a bit lackluster. I feel like there are too few items to see.

I found the more current displays showing the fall of Nicolas Ceausescu some of the more interesting artifacts in this museum. There was also a room with jewels and armor as well as certain columns. The columns were ok. You can spend a few hours walking around and there were enough collections that you could likely find something of interest. Good visit for a rainy day.

a great place to spend a couple of hours. we were in luck as they had a temporary exhibition on medals, along their permanent ones. their permanent exhibitions include the column of traian, hoards (thesaurus) found in various places in romania, the toy museum, military uniforms. i enjoyed it, but it can get overwhelming for your brain if u stop and read everything printed.

The national museum is a true jewel. The Historical Treasure exhibition houses many objects that belonged to the Royal Family, as well as many other objects received as a gift. You can also admire the Getic and Dacian treasures. Among the priceless epigraphic and architectural artefacts from the Antique period and the Middle Ages, a copy of the extraordinary monument, the trajan's column is exibited. The segments are displayed horizontally. The column is one of the most distinctive sculptures to have survived the fall of Rome. My absolute favorite pieces are the antrophomorphic figurines called Hamangia people.

The museum has a collection of very interesting and valuable artefacts. The main problem is that you can visit only a small part of it as it is under reconstruction for ages!
