An amazing piece of art, the bust of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) was a genius of the universal literature, the father of a famous character, don Quijote de la Mancha! This sculpture was made by an outstanding Romanian artist, Ion Jalea (1887 - 1983), the author of a numerous beautiful artworks all over the world. The bust was erected here to celebrate this place named the Square of Spain, in the middle of Bucharest - as a homage to the Spanish culture
