Not safe area/scam. We chose this place due to good reviews on different sites as well as the proximity to the ministry of culture. Staying itself was ok, and we checked out early in the morning by dropping the keys in the PO box as agreed since we paid in advance. Upon returning home to Cluj, the hostress sends us a picture of the room without the tv, threatening police actioning and contacting media. In other words, accusing us of stealing the TV. My wife who is Romanian calmly explained we flew back to Cluj and locked the door and the gate. The hostress said she would "look at the security cam" (after accusing us implicitlly??) and then get back to us. As of now she has not done this. Thus, either someone stole the keys from the PO box and stole the TV or the hostress tried to frame us for more money (backing down upon realizing we flew?). Either case, NOT WORTH IT. Either you may have your belongings stolen or accused with things you never did. I dont know what to think. Edit 20/07: To clarify any misconceptions, we left around 6:00 on the sunday (give or take a few minutes). The messages to us was sent around 14:30. As mentioned above, we did contact the hostress. The TV was there the night before. Most likely, unless this is an attempted scam, whoever did it stole the TV between 6:00 and 14:00 on the sunday.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the things that makes this such a good place to stay are the location and the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.
Very close to the city center, only 5 or 6 minutes walk, everything was clean and tidy, I recommend this place

Hotel intim, elegant, cu camere confortabile având mobilier modern, o cromatică odihnitoare, dotate cu tv., frigider, expresor cafea, fierbator apă, uscator de păr etc. Zona hotelului este liniștită și aproape de metrou.
