Update 30.03.2018 : they drastically cut down the open hours to 7/day and they are closed Saturday. Only 2 stars from me.. Nice, cozy place. They have a small garden with 2-3 hammocks and some couches where you could read, eat something or just relax in the shade of the trees. Perfect place to study!

The rooms are quiet and fitted with air conditioning Centrally located with easy access and multiple places to eat around - Bathrooms are dirty (a lot of homeless people use them and part of the faience on the walls has fallen) - In the winter they turn up the heat way too much, it feels like a sauna - Typical romanian state inefficiency and lack of long term vision... There are generally more employees than readers in the library, most of them playing on the computer (they are not even hiding from doing that almost all day long) - The internet connection is unreliable, and in the occasions in which it works, it is very slow. Top-Tip: come to the 21st century (escape the communist mentality), you can easily dispose half of the staff and use that money for renovations and a better internet connection.
Great library, beautiful. Bucharest needed such a library.
Quiet place, not crowded. Feels like the olden days. You need a pass and you can borrow home up to 6 books for 3 weeks.
Atmosfera linistita, sala de lectura, se pot folosi calculatoare. Recomand Relaxing atmosphere, there is a lecture room, computers available as well. Recommend
Historical look library
Biblioteca ofera multe carti ,insa personalul (cel putin cel pe care l-am intalnit eu) este, fara suparare, groaznic.Am fost sa imprumut niste carti pe timp Covid si am facut un pas in biblioteca si dna (o doamna cu niste deficiente la ochi) mi-a spus pe un ton rastit, ca si cum as fi invadat cladirea, sa stau afara . Comportamentul dansei a fost pe toata perioada discutiei unul de superioritate . Am fost a doua oara sa predau cartile (in intervalul orar potrivit,mai exact luni la 13 ) nici un pas n-am apucat sa fac in CURTEA bibliotecii ,ca dna paznic m-a intampinat cu acelasi ton rastit si recalcitrant. Dansa s-a repezit spunandu-mi ca biblioteca este inchisa si ca danasa NU STIE cand se deschide,de ce e inchisa ,spunandu-mi sa sun daca ma intereseaza. Nu vreau sa cauzez probleme insa atitudinea angajatilor este una de superioritate si total neadecvata unei biblioteci de inalta speță. Va multumesc
