First things first, buzz 101C when you get to the apartments at 118 - somehow yoga studios are often hard to physically find/access overseas! The class: Irene is such a kind, cheerful and friendly teacher, running this not-for-profit studio. She also has very good English. The space is large and well heated, with a change room and mats to borrow if you need. Having tried a couple of places in Bucharest on my trip, I get the sense that yoga is still in its early stages of development, compared to some other countries, though still a great experience. I found some of the adjustments a bit too firm, with no questions on injuries or prior practice, but a minor issue given the passion and warmth that the owner shows to yoga. Would recommend this studio if you are after Ashtanga in Bucharest. Just be conscious of your body and your injuries, as the injury prevention and yoga therapy elements are perhaps still in progress.
