I am a big fan of Adina's artwork, being so lucky to look day by day at three of her paintings: Stardust, My own room, Static nature. Although we have never met I feel like I know her a little bit: very humble, talented as one can be, sensitive and fearless. That being stated clearly to start with, I hope not to end up with my review like Dali during his speech in London ( my technical background being the diving suit). With that in mind here I go.... Living in a modern world dominated by social networks where people are keeping their memories and interactions with others it is for me refreshing to know that there is someone that brings her memories and interactions with the rest of us on canvas - and what wonderful ideas of self analysis of feelings and thoughts come transposed on symbolic level in Adina's paintings. Few symbols are daunting her thoughts and keep reappearing in her paintings: the window ( for me the interaction between conscience and subconscience ), the sand ( fluidity and movement of our thinking, some sort of grounding with the material, earthly world - which is a paradox, I know), the fish ( rebirth and strength), to name a few. But surrealism is wonderful because is letting us the freedom to see and interpret through our own perspective. What do you see in Adina's paintings?
