Brand new terminal, more than decent in all aspects and miles ahead the old one. Bus ride to the airplane, although it is a very short one. Very small duty free, but is there. The access road is terrible, just gravel road, in the process of being fixed (sometimes in the future).

This is a new small provincial airport. The check in is not the fastest but it's not the most difficult thing either. The duty free is fairly small but there's a parking which can host enough cars for the existing traffic. I see people complaining about the 1 hand luggage policy but this has nothing to do with the airport as it's a policy of the flight companies.

It's OK! They invested a lot of European money, maybe one year from now the airport will be much better - at the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018... Later edit (April 2019): the airport is great - all those European money that they've spent make this objective very modern, elegant, cosy and big enough to be friendly for all the passengers and travelers! I saw today, on their walls a very nice exhibition of a naive Romanian painter named Ion Maric - a famous artist, well known almost everywhere in the world! In front of the airport they arranged a big parking place - well done, managers! Only one problem: the road from the main avenue to the airport (maybe 400, maybe 500 meters!) is a disaster! I will give them the fifth star when they fix this last problem!

First time travelling to Bacau and I was utterly impressed with how nice the airport is run. Super mega clean, an aspect that I got used to not expect in Romania, however this one really goes way beyond the norm. Tiny airport, not so many duty free shops, friendly staff, and cleeeeeean!!!!
