A nice historic building, with a lot of history. It is free to visit, if you want to go up in the tower you have to pay, and you have to walk on some narrow stairs until you get up, but it worth's. Inside the church you will find amazing architecture, graves from different people who lived many years ago. You will see a nice and big organ.

Beautiful but not out of common.

If you expect a good view from the top of the tower, don't. The view is very restricted and only on 2 sides (can't see towards fortress). Not worth the 6 ron. The church is free to enter and worth 5 mins of your time.

Impressive romanic monument with small gothic influences. Originally built in 1004-1009, then rebuilt in the 13th century, it had it's exterior renovated in recent years and is now in an excellent condition. Be sure to bring a jacket as it's always cold inside, but also be sure to catch some of the evening organ concerts. They are worth it.

The exterior of this cathedral is impressive. It is huge, pristine, and can be seen for a far distance. However, the interior was a disappointment. The interior appears to be quite dated, dirty, and unattractive. There were no signs in English and the interior was cold. Be sure to bring warm clothing if you plan to visit during the cooler times of the year! From Wikipedia. St. Michael's Cathedral (Romanian: Catedrala Sfântul Mihail, Hungarian: Gyulafehérvári Szent Mihály érseki székesegyház) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Alba Iulia, Romania, and the oldest and the longest cathedral in the country. Towards the end of the 11th century the transversal naves and the first part of the sanctuary of the present cathedral were built in the Romanesque style. During the Mongol invasion of 1241, the church was destroyed. In the middle of the 13th century the cathedral was rebuilt on the old foundation, in the transitory style between Romanesque and Gothic.

A must see point, maybe the most important site in Alba Julia. Gothic and medieval style building encloses the sarcophagus of Hunyad Family.
